The decline of a civilization
Proved theory saying that civilizations all have a cycle of life (figuratively speaking) with a gestation, a birth, a growth, an apogee and a decline.

Cyclic cosmogony
Appealing theory describing our universe as emerging from an other before it, each succeeding a previous one since forever. At its peak, it would contract in a big crush giving birth to a new big bang.

We invite you through the representation of a cycle, from nothing to nothing, describing two successive cycles in this cyclic cosmogony. This is a global concept where each phase and theme includes its own musical identity.
This choice of concept comes from a fascination for nature and the universe in one hand and the sad ascertainment of both our present and past actions.
By linking those two topics with the cycle as denominator, we produced a whole piece, with a beginning and an end which, by its very own description, can repeat at will

In the prelude* we introduce the creation of the universe, the stars and the planets followed by the genesis, creating life.
In the interlude* we linger on a first civilization cycle preceding a second that, reproducing the same mistakes, will continually lead life to its decline.
Finally, in a postlude*, we talk about the sadly self induced disappearance of life, followed by the contraction of the universe.

*We borrowed and re-interpreted those terms to echo both the temporality and the gravity of the topic.
